I've been a Sonic fan since the days when it was on the Sega consoles.. wow..
talking about it like that makes it sound REALLY old.
Anyways, yeah.. though I'm not really a fan of some of the more recent 3D titles
that have come out, I'm still a fan of Sonic. I actually have one of the Mega
Collection games, for the GameCube, for nostalgic gaming..
Quote by rknight1Still it's better to
wait than to get buggy junk which is so often released.. though often you wait
and still get it.
True.. though the main problem with things concerning release dates is what I
mentioned, in my other post; websites pull out "bulls***" release
dates, and even local stores lie about when a game is going to get released. My
local store said that KHII would come out some time in July. 2 days before
release, it was knocked back; several times, I might add. This was through their
online store.
FFXII; a friend of mine went in to the same store, and inquired about FFXII.
(since the guy he asked was apparently messing around with FFXII game cases) The
guy said he was pretty certain it'd be released the following Friday. I check
their site, and there you have it; Feb 23rd; over a month away. Add to that, the
fact that I heard Europe was getting FFXII before Christmas, and you've got a
whole nest of nasty lies, and people getting fed up with games, because of
release date screw-overs. I'll
be looking forward to when games have one release date-- still hoping.
Guilty of getting pissed of with release dates, myself; SE do it alot with their
games. The UK version of KHII was set to be released in July, at one point, then
from there, I heard it got smashed back to August, then September, and etc.
until it was released on October 2006.
FFXII was said, on a website, to be released in October 2006, in the UK. Not
coming out until Feb 2007. Its completely blown my 'gaming need' for SE games,
and I'll only be buying FFXII when I can be bothered about it. I just hope that
the damn game is as good as I've heard it is..
..and I never heard that they dropped the StarCraft Ghost project. That's a damn
shame.. because I was really looking forward to that getting released.. ah
well.. as with you, deadpool22, I hope the project gets resurrected, at some
point..
The PS2 isn't gonna be redundant, until people can actually afford the PS3..
from what I've heard, the PS3 is going to be well into the £400
range, when its released in the UK; and from what I've heard, that's only for
the lowest memory hard drive, too.
That said, there are still best selling titles being released for the PS2, like
Final Fantasy, Suikoden, and several others, to boot. Personally, I estimate
that the PS2 will be around until mid-2008, at the earliest. Maybe even
stretching right over to 2009.
..but lucky me; I'll be getting my PS3 for my birthday, hopefully.
Personally, I'm reserving judgement on the subject, until Final Fantasy XII is
released in the UK, on the 23rd Feb. Namely because I've only read about, and
seen pictures of the game. That's about it. ..and from what I've heard, FFXII is
a far better game than FFVII. Seeing some people say that to me, who have
already played the game, I've been thinking it about time an FF title surpassed
FFVII, with the general public. Though its a good game, I just think that its
been overdone with all the Compilation stuff for it..
..I hope they don't do the same with FFXIII.. since they're making a Compilation
for that, too..
From what I can read through the previous post, in here, (since I can't access
the link via my current access' ISP) it reminds me of something I saw in the
paper, the other day; someone was claiming benefit, while selling
£100,000-worth of stuff on eBay. Stupid idiot got imprisoned for
that.
My thoughts on the issue mirror those of shoujoboy; if you're playing the game,
play it for fun; not to profit on 'rare items', and the like. Seems stupid,
though.. selling stuff from an online game, to get cash.. the minds of the
'real' world.. *sighs*
Personally, it wouldn't really bother me; even if I do, now own a PC that can
handle the kind of graphics a PS2, or whatever kind of console, can withstand. I
may, however, benefit those who don't own consoles, and don't plan on owning
them, any time soon. It might be fun, if you want to play the game, while your
friend is on the PS2, but would you really want to pay out for the same game,
twice?
In the end, it'll all boil down to preference; some would love console games to
be on the PC, while others either couldn't care any less about it, or would hate
them on the PC. You could say I fall into the second category, where buying one
copy of the game is concerned, but I wouldn't pay out twice, for the sake of
having it on both, for the odd occasion that a friend would pop over and want to
play on the game.
I actually use a few MP3's as ringtones from Anime.. though as far as I know, my
general ringtone isn't from an Anime, or anything; which would be UVERworld's
Just Melody.
For specific contacts, I have got Kannazuki no Miko's Re-sublimity and Agony
(the opening and ending themes) by Kotoko. I watched the Anime, a few days ago,
and renewed my addiction for Kotoko's more entertaining songs..
Quote by cheza2283For guys I really
love white/gray! Kakashi and Sesshomaru are the best! Also Hatsuharu from Fruits
Basket!
Unfortunately, I find that kind of hair colour to be over-used, not so much in
the Anime front, but in the games front. Lost count of, to make specifics, SE
have created white/grey/silver haired characters.
Anyways, I'd have to say that a dark blue or purple are good Anime hair colours.
The latter, though, being more specific to the female characters. Funnily
enough, I'm using a purple haired character for my Userpage layout and stuff.
Blonde isn't too bad a colour for female Anime characters, either.
Sometimes, for female characters, red can be a nice colour, too, but not so
often. At least in my eyes, anyways.
As a conclusion, a dark shade of blue, and although a generic colour for hair,
brown, and for female characters, as a complete list, purple and blonde. Again,
blonde not really being an 'Anime' colour..
A: When I first acquire the game(s), they really are pretty fun. Its when the
storyline stuff starts to lack, and you end up just running around, doing random
little things. On the majority, I'd have to say I either go on the games to drop
a little bit of stress, or when I'm pretty bored of everything else, but I won't
deny the factuality of me enjoying the games, when there's some storyline
missions to do. Its just too bad it isn't versatile enough for you to acquire
random little missions that are similar to the story missions..
Overall, though.. I'll say that I play them, because I more or less get some
enjoyment out of doing so. Reason I say this being the fact that they can still
be good games, even if short, and you can still get enjoyment out of them, even
when they are finished.
Right now, I only like the Kingdom Hearts 2 Opening/Ending FMV(s).
Other than that, though the game wasn't as impressive as its Opening, FFX's
'Otherworld' Opening was pretty awesome. Music really went well with what the
opening was portraying.
Hmm.. though not as much, Magna Carta's opening was pretty good, too. That one
was more the actual scenes, as opposed to the music, combined.
Personally, no, I haven't lost faith in Sony. Sure, they've done a few things
I'm not too impressed with, but hey, that's the way of games console producers!
They're bound to do something one person or the other doesn't agree with. Trying
to make EVERYONE happy would be impossible..
As for the price of the console.. I don't think its been released in the UK,
yet, but I'd estimate it at being near £300-500, at least. But
prices don't bother me. As long as the games are good for it, I'll be good with
Sony. After all, with the PS3 having so much new stuff on it, compared to the
PS2.
Its mostly the companies, such as Square Enix, who I'm losing, or have lost
faith in..

*WARNING SPOILERS*
Ok
the chobits ending was kinda weird in a way because jima and dita were ment to
stop chi but they let her run the program anyway....what was all that
about?
secondly you dont find out if chi actually remembered anything from before she
met hideki......anyway
i just wanted to know what you people thought of the chobits
ending...
Though I haven't seen the Anime ending, (and judging by the comments, I may not
want to.. o_O ) I have seen the Manga ending, and I have to say, I was
definately pleased with the way it ended.
Now, onto the quote.. if no one has clued you in on this.. I just jumped to
typing..
In the Manga (most likely the same for the Anime?) Dita was wanting to end it,
there and then, but Jima stopped her from doing it. Why? Well.. I feel Jima had
faith in Chi finding her 'someone just for her'.
Definately not TV, for me. The UK has
absolutely nothing that interests me, and even with Sky, I can't find anything I
like.. =/ I probably watch about one program a week on the TV. Most of my time,
I spend online, talking to friends, and doing other things, such as write
stories, etc.
Hmm.. there are a number of different kinds of people I dislike.. those who
think they know what's best for the world are, primarily, one of those kinds.
That would strike politicians, on my list, as the most hated kind of people,
around.. I mean, let's look at Tony Blair-- no, let's look at all of those who
'control' the UK. They run around, doing things that cause more damage, than
good..
Anyways, away from politics, since I dislike even thinking about that, other
kinds of people I dislike are those that ignore you, when you assist them in any
way, such as helping to pick things up they have dropped, or anything of the
like. I'm one for manners, and people doing that really blow my fuse..
Those who get off on people in pain/who inflict pain on others are another kind.
In UK headlines, that's pretty much on the rise, since there are numerous people
running around dealing 'happy slaps' to unsuspecting victims.. and they laugh at
it, too.. as well as record it on their mobile devices.. the UK has a name for
the people that do that..
As a follow-on to that, people who act hard, but panic when you stand up for
yourself piss me off, royally, for sure.. I, for one, just continue walking, if
confronted by such people.. they're the ones who are heading for jail, in their
near future..
I'm curious to know.. would the hiding of the Watchlist upon Userpages be within
the most recent changes to MiniTokyo? I only just realized that I was now unable
to view the list, without accessing it through my Control Panel..
The first ever Manga I purchased was Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles' first volume.
Its got one of those storylines that has captivated me, and now, I'm fully
up-to-date with the volumes, according to UK standards. We've currently got up
to Volume 8, and I'm aiming to get the 9th, as soon as I see it in my local
Anime/Manga store.
